My name is Phildas Bhakta, I am a 30 year-old female drummer born on January 29, 1971. I have been living in London, England, since 1988.

I have been drumming for about 11 years or so, and have gained a lot of experience both live and in the studio, playing with many different bands of various styles such as progressive rock, jazz fusion, pop, reggae, funk and even punk for a couple of sessions! I have also played in a cabaret production. My favourite styles of music are progressive, jazz and quality pop as well as world music.

I am a yoga practitioner and am also a martial artist, training in Kalarippayatt, Gatka and Chow Gar Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Other hobbies include history (especially ancient history) and environmental issues. I am very interested into Eastern cultures and am a dedicated adept of Hinduism, having converted to Sanatan Dharma about 10 years ago. I am a strict vegetarian, do not drink or take mind-altering substances... Genesis and Phil Collins drumming alone take you into higher states of consciousness!
